There is hardly a race meeting I love more than the ‘Blue Diamond Stakes’ at Caulfield. It is local and friendly and is at a nice time of the year when we are about to head up to Sydney for the Autumn Carnival. I could not let this opportunity pass me by to out do the Jago Bomb. Yes, that was my plan indeed and if I did not succeed I was up there in the OTT stakes. I have the pleasure of wearing the Blue Diamond made by the lovely Mandy at Catanach’s Jewellers. Breathtaking, and something you cannot buy, only win.
This year I must say this has been the highest standard of entrants I can ever remember seeing and Peter Jago said so as well. Peter is a man to speak his mind so we definitely know when he does not like something. We were all like hyper little kids at the judging desk, with Peter and I playing the class clowns. I unfortunately kept having trouble with the folding seats.
Everyone was on awe of the fantastic Pam from ‘Ascot Hats’ creation in Brisbane. A big thank you to Pam. I think I gave the Jago Bomb a run for his money. Nevertheless, I sat with some brilliant judges, had a ball, looked at beautiful fashion and ran around socializing. What a day. Brooke Sexton definitely took everyone’s eye in the mounting yard, leading Whobegotyou in heels. That a girl!
By the way did you see, colour is BACK BABY!
