Giambattista Valli

This year if I was investing in a High End overseas couture label it would definitely Giambattista Valli.  Love it.

Chanel Couture S/S 2012

Karl Lagerfeld has shown us allot of Blue with Elvis's Blue Moon being inspiration????

I am loving the textures of the rich Chanel fabrics that we know the house is synonymous with although there was not much play of a nipped tight waist as we have seen in Dior 2012. Two totally different collections. I love the notion of the drop waistline like the street boys with their pants down past their undies being held up by their hands in their pockets, but I do love the interpretation of the 20s, the drop waistline and the shift always putting up its hand for recognition as well. This look will be fantastic for the column like figure, but really tend toward the elongated look with a hint of waist because there are very few that will look as stunning as these models with long lean limbs. In fact the very long drop waist line cannot be reproduced without the hem coming way up so I would suggest unless you have the $$$$s to drop into Chanel don't go the drop, because it may look like a sack on us mere folk.
