My favorite time of the year is getting away from the freezing Winter in Melbourne and heading up to a perfect 24o in Brisbane. Brisbane is one of those places that will never disappoint me. There are some amazing fashions to see and splendid Winter millinery. It is strange because Melbourne embraces probably the coldest Winter and has transeasonal millinery and Queensland is very traditional keeping felt and Winter fabrics for their millinery a must. One thing to keep in mind ladies, when entering fashions on the field, there is only going to be one really happy person and that is the winner. You really have to go into the completion just embracing feeling fantastic about yourself and your outfit.
Tanya Lazarou won again, and again she did look splendid. Congratulations Tanya. You cannot take that away from her and she is a true natural beauty. Then we have Mildred who won the best millinery and Peter Jago knows his millinery and there was no better hat. The hat, the outfit, were beyond sublime. Mildred you are a statuesque woman that it really is impossible to take a bad photo of. I adored Sandra Robson’s ‘Wedgewood’ blue number. That was spectacular and really grabbed my eye for all the right racing fashion reasons.
Really I think that the quality of contestants in Queensland have stepped it up even higher than ever before and I am glad that it is the opening show for season 3 or Racing Fashion TV. I cannot wait to see what the ladies have in store for us to cast our eyes over next week.
